Job Purpose (WHY):
Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and taxes.
Job Responsibilities
- Semi-monthly payroll; monitoring annual preparation of T4, T5, and T101 Slips
- Bookkeeping (A/R, A/P, monthly bank & credit card reconciliations)
- Government reporting (GST/PST), overseeing WCB & Source Deductions
- Process electronic payments (wire transfer, EFT, e-transfers)
- Prepare, audit, and reconcile month end reports. Complete prepaid monthly entries
- Review, authorize and process weekly supplier and vendor payments
- Other projects as assigned by Management.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting specially A/R and A/P and 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience with an accounting software, preferably Windward
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Organized & detail oriented, attention to detail for reporting and auditing
- Excellent oral & written communication skills, great collaboration with Management and Senior Leadership Team is essential
- Proficient in multi-tasking & meeting deadlines
- Analytical with strong problem-solving skills
- Positive, professional attitude

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
